Supporting our Community
The Pythian Club was formed in 2014 to provide sustainable and unique programmes that directly work towards supporting and mentoring young people with the aim of reducing youth violence and driving community cohesion. The Pythian Club deliver this through a framework of sport, art, and educational programmes within the community, educational settings, and from its base within the Heathfield Community Centre, Nottingham.
The Club is committed to improving the quality of life for the young people we support through working alongside these young people to help address their social, educational and health needs thereby enabling them to play a greater role within their communities and within society.
An exceptional emphasis is placed on addressing the needs of young people from disadvantaged and/or Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities who may be detached from services, socially excluded, vulnerable, at risk of falling into anti-social behaviour and crime.
Through unique and specialised programmes, the Club empower young people with an enhanced sense of self-esteem, instilling a growth mindset and increasing their self-awareness and confidence.
The Pythian Club provide a range of weekly activities and strive to ensure we facilitate opportunities for the voice of the youth we support to be heard.
