Empowering The Next Generation: Denewood Careers Fair
The Pythian Club had an incredible experience at Denewood Academy, engaging with inspiring young people, dedicated teachers, and professionals from various schools and educational settings. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share ideas, and discuss the important work we do across different communities.
We were proud to highlight our initiatives, which empower young people through sports, creative arts, mentoring, and personal development programs. Engaging with educators and students alike reinforced our mission to create positive change, provide support, and inspire the next generation.
We look forward to building stronger partnerships and continuing to make a difference!
Vice Chancellors Inaugural Lecture
The Vice-Chancellor's inaugural lecture marked a rare and special moment in the university’s story. Joined by UoN’s staff, students, alumni, partners and friends, the historic event commenced as Professor Norman shared her vision for the future of higher education.

A Night of Dominance: Manchester United Triumph Over Leicester City
There’s something special about attending a Premier League fixture, especially when it’s a clash between two iconic teams. On a crisp March evening in 2025, I had the privilege of witnessing Manchester United take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. With both teams battling for crucial points in the league, the stage was set for an intense encounter. What unfolded, however, was a masterclass from Manchester United, who secured a commanding 3-0 victory in front of a packed stadium.
Women’s League Cup Final
The Women's League Cup Final 2025 was more than just a football match; it was a celebration of the growth, passion, and excellence of women’s football. On a crisp spring day, fans from across the country gathered to witness two of the most formidable teams in the Women’s Super League, Chelsea and Manchester City, battle it out for the coveted trophy. As someone lucky enough to attend, I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience.
Alternative Provisions at the fore
The start of 2025 has seen The Pythian Club delivering sessions within two alternative provision settings enabling pupils to learn new skills, in a fun and engaging manner.
Continued support for Nottingham’s homeless within the city centre
The Club’s outreach team continues to provide food parcels and an opportunity to interact with Nottingham’s homeless community In the City Centre.
Championship Boxing match tickets gifted to the community
A memorable evening of boxing was enjoyed by members of the community with thanks to 60 tickets donated to The Club.
