Helping support Nottingham’s unhoused individuals

While there has been widespread speculation about the reasons for the cost of living crisis, one certainty exists - the increase being witnessed in homelessness is evident on the streets of Nottingham.

Over the last few weeks to support some of those in need, our outreach team have prepared, and distributed food to unhoused individuals in Nottingham City Centre. Through providing much-needed meals, we have engaged in meaningful conversations with those we have served.

Many of the recipients of the meals are now familiar faces, as they’ve come to recognise and trust our regular visits in turn helping us identify others in need enabling us to widen the scope of our outreach efforts.

In addition to engaging unhoused individuals, the team promote our weekly activities programme which includes our Friday Premier League Football sessions at Nottingham Forest Sports Zone. with young people they encounter.

As ever, we extend our gratitude and thanks to NET Tram for providing transport to our team and helping to facilitate our work.

Should you come across our team, please stop by and say hi, we’re always keen to strengthen our connections within the community.
