With a primary focus on empowering and improving the lives of young people within Nottingham, The Pythian Club uses positive initiatives such as sport, education, mentoring and performing arts workshops in an effort to engage young people and reduce negative influences including knife crime, gang violence and youth offending. The Community Interest Company (C.I.C.) has been given local, regional and national recognition and merits for this life-changing, inspiring work within deprived areas, where aspirations are low and offending is high. At The pythian Club we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to better themselves and we find that through programmes including sport, performing arts, mentoring and education, young people can change their perspectives on life, become role-models and leaders, be motivated to dream big and set goals to achieve great things.
